A Family Legacy of Giving That Endures

The Heart Behind the Foundation
Founded in 2004, the Logan Family Foundation uses fundraising initiatives to support selected beneficiaries and meaningful causes throughout Northeast Ohio, the Ashland Ohio area, and Central Ohio. Since its inception, the Foundation has been dedicated to paying forward in practical, impactful ways while honoring the values that have shaped the Logan family for generations.
The Foundation’s signature fundraising event is its Annual Golf Classic, dinner, and auction. Over the years, this event has helped generate both financial support and public awareness, thanks in part to the involvement of distinguished honorary chairs such as Ohio Lt. Gov. Jim Tressel, Archie Griffin, Thad Matta, Clark Kellogg, Todd Blackledge, John Hicks, Glen Mason, Larry Kehres, Keith Byars, Lee Owens, Rob Senderoff, Earle Bruce, Urban Meyer, and Brian Hartline, among others.

Family Leadership & Board of Trustees
The Logan Family Foundation remains deeply family-led. The late Dick and Gloria Logan, built a legacy of service that continues today through their children, who make up the Foundation’s Board of Trustees:
Amy Logan Walther
Jeff Logan
Whitney Logan
Andy Logan
Jill Logan
The next generation of Logans are actively involved and understand the opportunity and responsibility to carry on the mission.

Over $1 Million Invested
in Community
To date, the Logan Family Foundation has awarded more than $1 million to hundreds of beneficiaries across Northeast Ohio, Ashland County, and Central Ohio. That impact represents more than dollars given. It reflects lives touched, organizations strengthened, and communities served.
As the Foundation looks ahead, it will continue raising support to meet the commitments and needs of its beneficiaries while pursuing long-term plans to establish an endowment that will sustain giving for generations to come.
The Logan Family Foundation is a proud 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, committed to building a lasting legacy of generosity, service, and community impact.

A Legacy of Athletics and Service
The Logan family’s story is deeply connected to athletics, leadership, and community. Dick Logan played football at The Ohio State University and for the Green Bay Packers. Jeff Logan played football at Ohio State. Jud Logan was a four-time Olympian for Team USA in the hammer throw. Whitney was an outstanding high school athlete at North Canton Hoover and Andy Logan played football at Kent State University.
That athletic legacy has always been about more than sports. It has reflected discipline, character, teamwork, perseverance, and a commitment to using one’s platform to serve others.

Honoring
Jud Logan’s Light
In January 2022, the Logan family experienced the heartbreaking loss of Jud Logan following his battle with cancer and COVID-19. His impact, however, continues to be felt in powerful ways.
Jud was known for being a “light giver” to others - someone who encouraged people not only to find a mentor, but to become one to others. In his 2020 commencement address to Ashland University graduates, he spoke about the importance of both receiving guidance and giving it away. That message continues to shape the family’s commitment to service and legacy.
In honor of Jud’s life and influence, private donations established the Jud Logan Endowment Fund at Ashland University, and a similar endowment was created in his name at Kent State University, his alma mater. The Logan Family Foundation remains committed to carrying his legacy forward by continuing to be a source of hope, generosity, and light for others.

Continuing Dick & Gloria Logan’s Legacy
Dick Logan passed away in November 2016, just hours after watching the Buckeyes defeat "That Team Up North." His life, leadership, and love for family continue to leave a lasting mark on the Foundation and on all who knew him. The values he helped instill remain at the heart of the Logan Family Foundation’s mission and continue to guide its work today.

Gloria, who passed away in 2024 was the “glue” for a very active group and had her hands full with raising this family! She was integral in making sure that all of the family members remained right sized and never lost focus on doing the next right thing.
